Students engage in continued learning around this standard throughout the school year. Learning is assessed and reported each trimester.
The addendum is a document that is included with the report card for some students. It is used when a student is working on an off-grade level standard. For example, a 4th grade student who is working on a 3rd grade standard or a 6th grade student who is working on a 7th grade standard.

Teachers shortened the wording of the actual standard for the ease of understanding. The skills being assessed are still aligned with the expectations of the original standard.
For Example:
Actual Standard - 4.RL 1. Refer to details and examples in a text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing inferences from the text.
Shortened Standard (on Report Card) - Explains texts explicitly with details from a text to draw inferences
