Class of 2025 Graduation Information

Dear Parents/Guardians of Eighth Grade Students:

We hope this letter finds you and your family well! We are in the process of planning multiple ways to celebrate our eighth grade graduating class of 2025. Understanding this is an important milestone to our students and families, we will continue to find meaningful ways to celebrate student accomplishments as our eighth grade students prepare to transition to high school. We are excited and grateful to partner with our PTO and 8th grade parent/guardian volunteers to plan our end of the year celebration!

We currently have our graduation date reserved with Niles North High School on Wednesday, May 28 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Students are expected to maintain academic and behavior expectations in order to fully participate in all graduation events. There will be more information regarding graduation events in the upcoming months which will include the process for securing tickets to the ceremony. Please review any additional information which will be shared with families through email and in our Weekly Newsletter.

At this time, we are asking parents and guardians to submit student diploma names and review gown and tassel purchase options. Please check your email to access the forms below.

• Student Diploma Names (please submit your child’s name EXACTLY as you would like it to appear on the diploma). Student names must be submitted on this form by February 7.
• Graduation Gown and Tassel Purchase Options (families can purchase a graduation gown and tassel individually or as a package–there are no graduation caps). Complete this form by February 7.

Upcoming Important Dates:

• Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser ~ January 29 - February 2
• 8th Grade Graduation Pictures ~ Thursday, January 30 (Picture Retakes March 13)
• Niles North High School Counselor Appointments ~ Thursday, February 6 at NNHS (individual appointment times are communicated to families by NNHS)
• Diploma Cards & Gown/Tassel Orders Due ~ Friday, February 7
• 8th Grade End of the Year Celebration ~ Friday, May 16 (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.)
• Graduation Ceremony ~ Wednesday, May 28 at NNHS 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. (We expect the ceremony to start promptly at 6:00 p.m. and last approximately 1½ hours.)
