At a special open meeting on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the Board of Education approved Co-Interim Superintendent Employment Contracts with Dr. Keely Roberts and Dr. Kaine Osburn. Drs. Roberts and Osburn will serve the district through June 30, 2025.

Dr. Roberts has more than 25 years experience and leadership in education. She has served as a Principal, Assistant Superintendent, and most recently as Superintendent for Zion Elementary District 6. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in data-driven decision making, collaboration, and innovation. She empowers educators through professional development and collaboration and engages families and the community to support student success. Her unique experience as a survivor of a mass shooting has shaped her understanding of critical issues facing school districts: safety, social-emotional wellness, community engagement, and trauma-informed care.

Dr. Osburn has more than 18 years leadership experience in education. He has served as Assistant Principal, Principal, and Deputy Superintendent. Most recently, he served as Superintendent for Avoca School District 37 and retired at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Dr. Osburn has led school districts through various transitions and recognizes the importance of trust, engagement, and planning for staff and student success.
