Principal's Welcome

Hello, and welcome to McCracken Middle School’s website! Our goal is to provide McCracken families with multiple ways to stay informed and involved in their child’s education. I feel honored and privileged to serve the students, staff, and families of District 73.5. I spent four wonderful years here as the Dean of Students from 2013-2017 and served as the assistant principal at Middleton Elementary School during the 2017-2018 school year. This year will be my fifth year as the McCracken principal and tenth year in the district. Prior to my administrative career in the district, I was a teacher in Chicago Public Schools for thirteen years.

Here at McCracken Middle School, our focus is on providing all of our students with a comprehensive educational program infused with equity in a welcoming environment to meet their needs academically, socially, and emotionally. Administration and staff work collaboratively to assist all students in reaching their potential across all content areas, providing a wide variety of opportunities to demonstrate their growth and learning throughout the school year. Students at McCracken are expected to exhibit respectful, responsible, and ready behavior at all times leading to a positive and successful school experience!
