The regional office for the U.S. Census Bureau announced Monday that 2020 Census door-to-door follow-up in Skokie begins on July 30th, not August 11th as originally announced.
All households that have not already responded to the 2020 Census will be visited to ask you the census questions in person until the questionnaire is completed. If you recently received a postcard from the Census Bureau, your addresses has not been counted. A complete count is vital to the continuation of many important services in the Village of Skokie.
There is still time to respond to the 2020 Census at 2020census.gov.
Households can respond online or by phone in English or 12 other languages or by mail using the paper questionnaire mailed to non-responsive addresses.
Please cooperate with all census officials. Refusal to answer all or part of the census carries a $100 fine. The penalty goes up to $500 for giving false answers.
See how well your Skokie neighborhood is responding to the 2020 Census.
