UPDATE: Thank you to all who shared details about the restored little libraries! The one featured here was rebuilt by an anonymous community member using their woodworking skills and original student art. Elana arranged for a second little library to be installed near the park.
Special thanks to Middleton Instructional Assistant Tsetsegmaa Gomez and her family for coordinating a "restoration team" to bring the little libraries back to life, Buildings & Grounds Director Peadar Hurley and his crew for installation, and our amazing community of neighbors and staff for restocking the little libraries throughout the district. We are truly #BetterTogetherSD735.
Earlier this month Middleton's little library was destroyed. Initially, we could only think of how awful this was. Although we are still disappointed with the actions of a few, the encouragement came from community member Elana Jacobs's kind gesture of creating a new little library. We thank her for turning our frown upside down and into a smile.
