Acceleration of Learning

Highlights from the third of four Strategic Planning Community Roundtables on November 2, 2022. The strategic topic discussed at this meeting focused on acceleration of learning.

The evening was facilitated by Dr. Shelby Cosner, a Professor and Director of the Center for Urban Education Leadership at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

While we encourage in-person attendance so participants can interact with others in tabletop discussions, the November 2nd meeting also included a livestream broadcast. Remote participants were invited to gather as a family or with friends and neighbors to watch the meeting introduction and then discuss the questions together at their location.

In-person participants gathered in mixed tabletop groups and spent time getting to know others at their table and in the room. The groups then shared and discuss ideas from different vantage points.
