Middleton and McCracken Families:

Beginning April 2, 2025, students in grades 3-8 will participate in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR).

To best prepare for success, students are encouraged to do three things:

  1. Get a good night’s rest on the nights before testing
  2. Eat a healthy breakfast on the mornings of testing
  3. Bring a charged Chromebook to school each day

On April 9, 2025, McCracken students only will participate in an IAR "field test." Each year, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) randomly selects a small number of schools across the state to participate in an IAR field test. The ISBE uses these field tests to improve students' experience with the IAR. The field test simply adds an additional 90-minute section to the ELA portion of the existing IAR test.
