Winter Weather Update

Dear Families,

The Skokie area is bracing for dangerous weather conditions for the remainder of the week. There is a winter storm warning in effect from noon Thursday until 6:00 a.m. on Saturday. Winds gusting as high as 50 miles per hour are expected, with wind chill values of 25-35 degrees below zero.  

The frigid and windy weather conditions predicted for Thursday afternoon and Friday would not be conducive to students walking to or from school or getting picked up and dropped off at bus stops during potential whiteout conditions.

In light of this winter storm, we have made the difficult decision to close our schools for the safety of our students on Thursday, December 22nd, Friday, and December 23rd. These will be snow days. Instruction will resume on Monday, January 9th.
